El'lenor is our very special Star Child, she is 24" long and takes clothing to fit a 1-3 month old baby.
She has an embedded spine armature that goes from the base of her spine and up into her skull which means she can sit up unsupported. We can also insert armatures into her arms on request, so that her arms can be posed.
We don't add armatures to the legs as we like the way she can perch on your hip or on a shelf and her legs dangle or can bend naturally.
El'lenor is sculpted, moulded, poured, painted by Carolyn Doughty and the wig is hand made by an amazing BJD wig maker in the USA and will be made especially for you . You can choose the colour of her hair. She is poured in our soft blend silicone which is the highest quality blend of prosthetic grade silicone.
If you order an El'lenor child, when you pay your deposit you select a slot for when the she will be ready. This will be a good few months away because we do plan ahead and have babies to complete each month. So between now and the time your baby will be ready, you can pay off your baby by making a payment every month. This is normally for around 12 months, so I will send you a paypal invoice monthly from the date you start paying.
For example, if in January 2025 you book the slot for the baby in June 2026, you pay 1/12th payment (£300) plus shipping immediately as a deposit to secure your slot, and then in July 2025 you start making the remainder 11 monthly payments of £300 per month, the last payment is made in June 2026 and we aim to get your precious Star Child home to you in June 2026.
El'lenor comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a small box opening.
El'lenor's mouth will normally be opened.
Your doll will be shipped via DHL which means very fast delivery. Please note we are based in the UK, if you are buying from overseas you will probably be charged customs fees or taxes depending on your country's customs fees, please check this yourself if you are unsure. These custom fees could be as much at 30% of the value of the baby, so please be make sure you set aside a sum to pay this.

Please also be aware if you are outside the UK, your country MAY charge you a customs fee.

Although we do show our babies on our facebook page (Carolyn Doughty Dolls) we do not sell through any other websites, so if you see our babies advertised elsewhere please be cautious, feel free to check with us by email [email protected] if you are unsure. (There are silicone artists who do buy babies from us to custom paint for customers, and occasionally customers do sell on babies from collector to collector, but if in any doubt please do email us to check.)
