Practice face: Effie 0031
Our silicone practice faces and limbs are ideal for a beginner artist in silicone, or somebody who wants to try their hand at silicone painting, or to try different colours and skin tones without the risk of ruining an expensive doll kit.
The faces are slices of the head, poured when we have silicone left over from pouring a larger doll, because they are not a whole head they cannot be used to make a silicone doll, they are just for practice. Similarly the limbs do not have flanges and often are cut off below shoulder and often do not have matching pairs or sets, they are intended simply as a practice limb and not to be used in a doll.
The pieces are poured in a range of skin tones, and sometimes different softnesses of silicone, details below.
The pieces have been thoroughly cleaned, and dusted with powder and are ready to paint. Small blemishes or imperfections have not been repaired, but could be considered an opportunity for artists to practice repairing skills on them.
All these pieces have been sculpted by Carolyn Doughty, and have been moulded and poured here at Carolyn Doughty Dolls. They do not come with a Certificate because they are not intended to be sold on, just for practice.
