Poured in super-soft silicone, this sweet chunky baby is a perfect size for fitting newborn or up to 1 month size clothing, Sofie is 19" and weighs a chunky 9-10 lbs.
Sculpted and moulded by Anne Miller, but poured and painted by Carolyn Doughty, baby Sofie is poured in our soft blend 'mallow' silicone which is the highest quality blend of prosthetic grade silicone.
This baby can be made as a boy or a girl and you can choose the colour of hair.
We can insert soft metal armatures into your baby at an additional cost of £200 - if you would like armatures please add this at the point of ordering.
Information about Wire Armatures
Full-body wire armatures (including spine, limbs and head) must be installed before any finishing work begins, such as painting, fixing or rooting, as the armature becomes an integral part of the silicone structure. Therefore we ask for payment of the armature in full at the time of ordering and it is not part of the payment plan. When used with care, armatured dolls can remain beautiful and functional for many years. However, wire armatures are subject to metal fatigue over time. Repeated bending—particularly in the same area of a limb—may eventually cause the internal wire to weaken or break. If a wire does break, it cannot be repaired or replaced, and there is a risk that a broken wire end could migrate within the silicone and potentially work through to the surface. For this reason, armatured dolls should be posed gently and treated as display or light-handling pieces rather than fully poseable toys.
If you order a Sofie baby, when you pay your deposit you select a slot for when the baby will be ready. This will be a good few months away because we do plan ahead and have babies to complete each month. So between now and the time your baby will be ready, you can pay off your baby by making a payment every month. This is normally for around 10 months, and I will send you a paypal invoice monthly from the date you start paying.
For example, if in January 2026 you book the slot for the baby in December 2026, you pay 1/10th payment (£220) plus shipping immediately as a deposit to secure your slot, and then in April 2025 you start making the remainder 9 monthly payments of £220 per month, the last payment is made in December 2026 and we aim to get baby home to you by the end of December 2026 (please bear in mind this is not an exact science and although we rarely miss deadlines, there is a lot of work involved and occasionally we get a little behind - if this happens we will contact you with a new proposed end date (this shouldn't be more than a month or two later).
Your baby comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a small box opening.
Your baby's mouth will normally be opened to take a modified dummy/pacifier and a modified dummy/pacifier will be supplied with your baby, if you would like more you can purchase these for £10 each.

Your blank baby will be shipped via DHL which means very fast and safe delivery. Please note we are based in the UK, if you are buying from overseas you MAY be charged customs fees or taxes depending on your country's customs fees, please check this yourself if you are unsure.

Although we do show our babies on our facebook pages (Carolyn Doughty Dolls) we do not sell through any other sites except this website and our DollArtShop.com online shop, so if you see this baby advertised for sale elsewhere please be cautious.
There are a lot of scammers out there so please if you are offered one of our babies either new or second hand, and you are unsure please email us at: [email protected] with a photo of the COA and full information of the doll advertised, and we can try and confirm whether the doll is genuine.
