A boo-boo silicone baby is a silicone blank kit where we have made an error in the moulding or casting process, which sometimes means we cast a doll that we cannot sell for full price.

These babies are ready to come home, you will receive the baby in the photograph and as soon as payment is made your baby will be sent out to you.
The purchase is non-refundable and because of the low prices, we do not offer payment plans on these babies.
The reason silicone dolls are so expensive is that
Any dolls cast that are badly flawed, I would normally discard. However, sometimes artists would like the opportunity to purchase a flawed doll - maybe they could never afford to buy a silicone blank kit at full price, or perhaps they are just starting out and would like a doll to practice their skills on before investing in an expensive kit.
The booboo babies I am offering for sale here, are seamed, any small flaws that would normally be fixed have been fixed, and they are powdered and ready to paint. They are normally poured in our lovely 'mallow' super-soft silicone, and are beautiful to paint and to hold.
The booboos on these babies are varied and have been photographed on each of the babies and described. Much of the time it is just a matter of me forgetting to 'degas' the silicone before pouring the baby which creates tiny bubbles in the chest area and top of the head, or where it was a very warm day and the silicone has cured before the major bubbled have managed to escape. You may feel the flaws are something you can live with (none of us are perfect after all) or that they will be covered with clothing or hair. Some you may feel you are experienced enough to have a go at fixing the flaw to make them 'perfect' again.
The dolls are all priced as half the normal price, some will be even less than half price. The dolls will come with the usual Certificate of Authenticity but will be marked as a boo-boo baby, so if you sell the baby on the buyer is clear what they are buying and that the baby is authentic.

- the silicone materials are very expensive to buy
- the silicone baby has been hand sculpted by an artist - a sculpted doll can take several months to sculpt in clay
- normally we can only get maybe a dozen dolls out of each mould and then the mould is usually discarded, silicone dolls are not mass produced like a vinyl kit
- the silicone doll has been moulded and cast by an individual artist in their studio, again the materials are very expensive and the process is lengthy, every baby takes a good few hours to produce and prep ready for painting.
